Windows Media Server streaming wave file problem

Hello!

I installed Windows Media server in windows advanced server 2003...

Now I want to publish wav file but it shows error... Why it is? In my server I haven't sound card driver installed... Is this makes problem? But it shows and streams wmv files properly... But I have problem with wave files... Why?

Is there any other better free software for publishing?

Thanks!

One solution might be to get a free copy of windows media encoder: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx

Convert your wav file to wma (windows media audio) -- and it should stream. If you can stream wmv you should be able to stream wma.
