SBS 2003-Event ID 2000-Verify MTA Service has started
I just setup an SBS 2003 server (pre-install by Dell). I am getting a few Application Event ID 2000 errors:
"Verify that the Microsoft Exchange MTA Service has started. Consecutive ma-open calls are failing with error 3051."
I searched several forums and got very different resolutions ranging from ignore (SBS 2003 is supposed to do this) to reinstall SMTP. I set the MTA service to automatic and started it (per one forum). No erors resulted in this.
My question is: Is there a problem with having the MTA service running on SBS 2003? If so, what should I do about this?
Thanks
