We want to encapsulate the image of 4 webcams (3x D-Link DCS950G + 1 cam D-Link DCS-5300G) on a webpage.
We figured out how to use the software comming with the product, but it has a control panel we don't want to see.
How can we get the images of the 4 cams in a page, without any other controls?

Hello,

It may be easy to do, but I would need to know how the current page (with control panel) looks like.

If you want to dig yourself: look at the generated HTML page code (view source option of your browser).  Then, search for an <img src=... tag. copy/past the url from the src parameter. If the picture is correctly displayed, then you got it: just write down a simple web-page with 4 images embedded, each one using the url you've found in the source code.

Rgds,
Werner.

It seems that the software is using java code, which makes use of a plugin (csviewer)
I don't know if the camera can stream, so it can be captured.
Anyone experience with d-link?

Hello,

Sorry, no experience with D-link. I played once with a cam, but I was able to make it output a pure picture, thus build a webpage around it.

Werner.

Tnx for your post,

unfortunately, the event for which we needed de cams has passed.
We exchanged the cams for stronger ones. Those did the trick well.

We used Axis IP cams.
It seems there is a lot of quality difference in the cam world.
The DLink cams are designed to use "out of the box". They are in fact simple surveillance cams, used for recording "as is".
Axis cams are a lot more expensive, but, they are fully self-configurable.

They did the trick for us. We build a webbpage wherein we framed the view of 4 cams on one page.

You can build custom pages for D-link cams. By creating a page that includes just the images from the cameras by pasting the html together.
Just FYI you can use a multitude of cameras including D-link and Axis with the http://www.go1984.com software. It is awesome and a great price.
