Domain Problem Logon

I am trying to log on a W2000 Server to a domain that I know it is part of.  For some reason everytime I try to log in I get the following response

The System Cannot Log you on to this domain because the systems computer account in it's primary domain is missing or the password on the account is incorrect.

I know the password is correct, and I know the computer is on the domain because it can see other computers in the domain when I log into the box itself?

Hi!

It's not user password but workstation password that's incorrect. First try to reset secure channel with the following command: NetDom resetpwd
More info: http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/9f921edc-87f5-460e-89ee-9ca56ec1d0961033.mspx?mfr=true
If it does not work, disjoin computer from domain, delete computer account, and rejoin computer to domain.

Toni,
From where would I run the NetDom resetpwd?  Would I run this from CMD?

Thanks,

Yes, from command prompt on client, check link for complete syntax.

Otherwise you can remove the workstation from domain manually (be sure to have a local admin account with password), the re-join the workstation to domain again

Well I removed the computer from the domain on the PDC, and then added it back.  However,
when I try to put the domain name on the computer itself in the member of field I get the following error.

Following error occurred validating "xyz.com"
This condition may be caused by a DNS lookup problem.
The specified Domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Check DNS settings on your client. Primary DNS should point to your DC's IP.
