Restore mailbox withou overwriting existing mailbox in Backup Exec

How do I restore an individual mailbox without overwriting the existing mail through Backup Exec?

I cannot do a RSG due to space issues, individual mailbox recovery is my only option.

I would like to recover as a .pst file and then drag and drop whatever I need.  If I choose the File Redirection option in Backup Exec, will that place the .pst file in another location without overwriting the existing mailbox?

Sounds like a problem...

Natively there is no way to do a single restore, which is why you would use and RSG

1. did you do bricklevel backups which allows for a single restore
2. there are 3rd party tools like power controls that will allow you to open you backup file and extract the single mbx to a pst etc...

Oh yes, we do brick level backups and I'm able to see the individual mailboxes to do a restore.  I just need to know how to set it up in backup exec to not overwrite the existing mailbox.

I am trying the Exchange Redirection.  I created a "restore" mailbox and am testing redirecting the restore to that mailbox.

However, when I try to run the restore, it just stays in a Ready state in backup exec?  Has anyone ever had that happen?

Thank you
