Filemaker 8.5 live link to URL (clickable field to access web address)

I'm running Filemaker 8.5 and need to have a live link to a URL by clicking within the field context.  Is there a field type that will allow us to use the data within the field ?  We have a field that is a text type and contains, "www.weather.com".   How can we make this a clickable field?

no! a single button is enough, the script will take the url as an argument, provided you put the button in the body part of the layout. need an example?

2 ways:
right clicking on a string which looks like a URL in any field adds a "goto" option in contextual menu. what makes fmaker think it is a URL is either the http:// or www. prefix.
examples:
http://toto.com will work
www.toto.com will work
toto.com won't work
or create a button, and link it to the goto URL command, and indicate the field to be used as the argument

Unfortunately the beginning of the url is https://.  I did change it to http:// to see if that helped, which it did, however, still am unable to access this 'open' feature with the current URL.  Do you happen to know how to add https as a valid recognized url?

use the second solution then which works also for https sites:
create a button, and link it to the goto URL command, and indicate the field to be used as the argument

Is this the only solution, this is a database where users are entering the url.  Does that mean I have to create 50 buttons a day?
