integer not showing a number i.e. &H0 rather than 0

i have started a new app and i declare a variable interger for a counter

dim gvi as integer = 0

but it is setting the value to &H0 which when i try to use it as a row index later doesn't work

what have i done

    Hi Marcusw;

    Do you mean that when you look at the variable gvi in the Watch window of the debugger it shows up as &H0?

    If so just right click on the Watch window and click on Hexadecimal Display and it should then display it as 0.

    This also means that the problem in the code is not that the debugger is showing the numeric values in hexadecimal format but must be something else.
