IE6 working offline won't go away

I've got a computer with XP Home, IE6, and I can't get the "working offline" status of IE6 to go away.  System says internet connection is up, has worked for long times in the past...this seems to be because I redid the wireless network.

Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

In IE, when you goto file -> work offline, can you uncheck it?  This is where you can disable that feature, or are you saying it keeps getting checked automaitcally.

thanks for input.  I don't see a File > work offline in the File menu.

If its IE 7 its under tools, if its IE 6 its under file.  Should be 2nd from last in the list right above close.  Only thing  that would activate "working offline".  Are you running any anti virus software?  You can also try reinstalling IE6 by giong to add and remove programs -> select windows components on the left. then uncheck internet explorer.   This will remove IE.  Then reboot and go back in and recheack the box.  You can also consider installing IE7 and seeing if you have better luck with that.

Very strange, because I don't see File > work offline on another computer with IE6, bought it in February....OK, later!

Way cool, thur6165.  Thanks very much for digging up that article.  Turns out the problem went away when I selected the "connect" versus "continue working offline" option (which hadn't worked before).   However I really appreciate your finding that link, so I know I'm not going crazy or that my install isn't bent.  Should be helpful for others too.  Grazie, grazie!
