I have a question regarding the monitoring of backloged files with DFSR.
We are currenlty using MOM 2005 and we wish to monitor the DFSR Replication backlog. Currenlty this is beign done using the dfsrdiag backlog command.
We wish to have an alert raised within MOM as soon as the backlog for any given conection exceeds 200 files. I have found a method in WMI (getDFSRBackloggedFileCount) which when called with VBScript retuns the number of backlogged files for a connection but I am unsure how to use this in MOM.
1) Can MOM run a method from WMI and alert based on the return variable from this method?
2) Should a script be run on each server and log events to the event log so that MOM can then trigger allerts based on these events
I am hoping this can be configued from within the MOM Administrator consoe but so far i have only been able to configure MOM to create alerts based on WMI 'properties' and not methods.
