Outlook/Lotus Notes meeting

I have two users one who is using lotus notes and the other is using microsoft outlook 2003. The user with lotus notes is able to set up a meeting request in their calendar and invite the outlook user and it shows up in outlook like a normal meeting request and is added to the outlook users calendar. The outlook user would like to be able to set up a meeting in her calendar and simply add the lotus user as an invitee, and have it show up as a normal meeting for them. Currently the outlook user has to generate an email and add a .ics file attachment for this to work. Im looking for a setting or configuration that could possibly make this simpler for the outlook user.

Just for info: can you tell some more about releases/versions, is the Outlook user connected to the Domino server (e.g. via DAMO) or do you use a separate Exchange server, or POP3/IMAP??
The Outlook user should be able to invite the Notes User normally, and the ICS file is atached / embedded automatically.

I would check the outlook settings, since this should be transparent.

I hope this helps !

Outlook 2003 sp2 connect to exchange 5.5, and unkown on the Lotus side.  On the outlook side pop is not being used but the normal exchange server.  We don't know too much about the lotus side.  anything else you need?

WHat settings shouold we check to make it transparent SysExpert?
Not sure if Exchange 5.5 supports ICS format properly, it is pretty old.

Lots Notes R 6.5 and above accept ICS format transparently if I remember correctly.

And this is internal, I mean both servers are within the same company? Any Calendar Connector running on the Domino system?

Maybe interesting: Connecting Exchange and Lotus Notes/Domino (from http://mcpmag.com/columns/article.asp?EditorialsID=573 )
