I am running Mdeamon mail server in the office behind a pix 501. Recently external users have been unable to connect to it whilst internal is fine, once i open IE or &nbsp;telnet from the mail server the external access works fine, then about 4 hours later it goes down again. - any ideas

I am running Mdeamon mail server in the office behind a pix 501. Recently external users have been unable to connect to it whilst internal is fine, once i open IE or  telnet from the mail server the external access works fine, then about 4 hours later it goes down again. - any ideas

Cannot Access Mail server externally until IE is opened on mail Server

Interactions between email servers and clients are governed by email protocols. The three most common email protocols are POP, IMAP and MAPI.
