how do you asign a virtual nic to a physical one on the hardware server OS 2003

Choose VMNet0, that is bridged to the ethernet.

i have 4 servers i purchased a intel quad nic how do i asign the virtual server to one port of the nic or do i enter all my settings in the vertual enviroment

In windows check that you see four individual network adapters. If you do, then go here:

http://pubs.vmware.com/server1/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm

Click on "chapter 7", then "changing the network configuration", then "configuring bridged networking options on a windows host"

If you don't have four individual network adapters in windows, you need to re-configure the network before you can do the VMWare bridged networking.
