The drivers I got with this wireless pci card don't seem to work with Windows 2000.  The setup program installs but the driver does not.  Does anyone have the driver for EDUP 54Mbps 802.11g/b Wireless LAN PCI Network Adapter that will work with Windows 2000?

I would go to the Device manager, and remove anything unidentified or with a ? on it.

Also check for red Xs.

Then reboot and reinstall.

Other option is to update teh drivers via the hardware device manager directly.

lastly try the Driver troubleshooting wizard.

If all else fails, return the card, and get a brand name USB or PCI card ( Netgear/ linksys/ belkin )

I hope this helps !

When you try to install the driver manually it doesn't recognise the inf file as a valid piece of hardware to install.  This is why I'm hoping someone know of Windows 2000 drivers?

1) Is this card designed to work with WIn2k ?

2) Did you check the Vendor site for updated drivers ?

I  couldn't find a manufacturer web site - do you know it?
The inf file text indicates it should work with Windows 2000 or XP.

I'm sorry, but ANy card that does not have a homepage for drivers, is too generic, and I would return it and get a brand name with support.

It is worth the extra money.

In the end I installed XP on this box and then the card worked great.  It should have worked in Windows 2000.  I agree - to have no manufacturer web site (unit is from China) is poor.  Thanks for your comments.
