Dreamweaver 8

I am creating a website with Dreamweaver 8 (pretty new to Dreamweaver) and the problem I have is the following:
* After inserting an image in my index page (top of the page) I have an horizontal white space on top of the image that I did not create and nothing seems to be able to remove it. I am sure the white area is not part of the image and it doesn't look like it is any kind of "filler" image or anything similar.
Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks.

add this to your style sheet

img {
     padding: 0;
     margin: 0;
}

Hi Nyko333,

Does the whitespace occur in design view AND the browser, or just design view?

Jason,

The white space occur in layout view and also when I press F12 to view the page in the browser (IE or Firefox)
Thanks for asking.

Did you try DragKng's suggestion?

If so, and still no luck, then please post source code or a link to the page.

If DragKng's suggestion doesn't work, try using CSS to remove the border of the actual page.  This is what stops objects sticking to the edge of the browser window...

body {margin:0; padding:0}
