Lost Password to Cisco Aironet Accerss Point

I have a Cisco Aironet 1200 series access points and I have lost the login password. I have been to Ciscos website and they state that I have to re-set them back to factory specs becasue I don't want to loose the configurations (I have no documentation on them, go figure). Is there a way or a tool that I could direct connect to the Aironet and reset the password????
Any suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks.

I guess this is a security precautioin as the AP's are not in a secured location and could therefore be password recovered by anyone with a laptop and wireless connection.

The only suggestion would be try the cisco default username/passwords (worth a try) otherwise you'll have to start again i'm afraid.

These are the only procedures to change the password

You should not have to reset to factory defaults on the 1200 since there is a console port.

I guess now I have the question after reading the document that you both submitted (which I already had and read), So the final answer is yes I can reset the password or no I can't and have to reset back to factory defaults. These instructions are more towarsd the Aironet 350, not the 1200 series.

You have to reset to factory default, so yes you can reset the password but not without loosing your configuration. Also if you read that document it applies to the 1200 as well as the 350
