I currently administer approximately 80 HP Proliant DL380 Servers. I need to replace a few hard drives, but purchasing is telling me all that is available is 72.8 GB 10K Ultra 320 Hard disks. The current configuration utilizes 72.8 7200 RPM drives for all the arrays. My question is can a 10K drive be used in an existing array of 7200 RPM drives without compromising the data stored on the array?

Yes, such drives can be used. You just won't have the advantages of those faster drives.
