Internet explorer security settings to high

I am using IE 7 and last week I sterted getting the error saying this sites security certificate is not valid on most sites.
If I want to goto www.gmail.com the first error I get is the sites security certificate is not valid. When I continue I get a message saying I should not goto the site it may not be safe. I try to continue but the browser will not load the page. It says the connection has been lost.
I have a laptop that is on the same network and do not get the error.

Any help would be appreciated.
