Outlook not Caching email address in the to or other fields

Outlook is not caching the email address between usages. When you open outlook it any email address previously used will not come up in the fields of a new email.

If you typed in the address, it will be stored in the nickname file, .NK2.  The NK2 file may be corrupt.  Rename and Oultook will start an uncorrupted nickname file.

With Outlook close, search for *.NK2 and rename the file.  When Outlook opens, a new one should be created.

.NK2 file is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder. It is a hidden file. Go to any folder and select Tools > Folders Options > View. Check "Show hidden files and folders".  Click OK.

Thanks, I will try this when my user is back in the office. That will be a couple of weeks and this is a laptop I'm working with.

Couldn't locate the .NK2. I've tried looking for this file at my own workstation and the laptop that we are working on.
