Hi all,
On a WIndows Server 2003 R2 Standard with AD & TS, whenever I try to run an .exe I get a dialog box " Extraction Failed: Cannot Find Window Class" Also in Administrative Tools: Components, there is no entry in the "computers" folder.
Microsoft was working on it for 4.5 hours last night & got nowhere. This is a critical server!

You paid them to fix this, keep at them until they do.

Your support continues for the same issue until it's resolved - you have to keep at them and get it escalated.

It looks to me to be DCOM.

You could try this before you call them up again.

From a CMD prompt run:

msiexec /resgserver

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Thanks for the replies. However, the msiexec /regserver did not work. As stated before, this server does not show up in components/computers
