What i require from a develop, is to extract information from the pivot table, and post that information into a different worksheet, the information that i require from the pivot table to be extracted - exact match ......

the sub-total for each Portfolio ID.........that matched and placed in a second work sheet. for example....

Pivote Table is saying:

ID           Name                     total
1            Barclays1               1000
              Barclays2               1000
Total                                    2000

extract the 2000 (sample figure) and post this into a new work sheet that has combined portfolio id similar to col F in the the above would be posted into col f (as a example - against barclays 1+2 as 2000).

But in the new work sheet the macro asks the user which colum and row to add this extarcted information to.....

any question just feel free to ask.....

If you want to extract data from a pivot table, why not just use the GETPIVOTDATA formula?
