Hi,

Does anyone come accross this kind of error message. Following is the Undeliverable notice receives from system administrator

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:      PARKING
      Sent:      8/8/2007 12:50 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'Anthony Cashman' on 8/8/2007 12:50 PM
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server.  Please contact your system administrator.
<mail.atlantisholding.com #5.5.0 smtp;553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)>

Presend Scenario: We have an exchange server with smtp connector. The email address of user is anthony.cashman@atlantisholding.com and when a user from atlantisholding.com (eg: zak@atlantisholding.com) sends an email to anthony.cashman@atlantisholding.com) it get bounce back with above error message.
Note: the receipent email address (Anthony Cashman) does not reside on exchange from where we are sending and we have few users of this kind who got atlantisholding.com email id's but without exchange mailbox. they are all mobile and using pop3 account to pull their emails.
To get this mail delivered to the receipent i configured an  ipadress in squre brackets in  "forward all mail with unresolved ipaddress to host:" found in "messages" tab of Default SMTP Virtual Properties.

I notice that some times it get delivered for few users and some times get the above error message.

Any help to resolve above issues is really appreciated!

Thx.

That isn't an Exchange message. You need to speak to whoever maintains your email service and ask them why their servers are generating that message.

Your best option though would be to have all email delivered to Exchange and all users to pull email from Exchange, rather than trying to have email on two servers.

Thanks for your prompt reply, i was thinking the same as you said and i already contacted the network solutions people and they said as below between the lines
--------------------
According to your request, you are using a local Exchange server connected to our email servers to send out mail.  Unfortunately it is not making it out to all of your recipients.  It appears as though you are not using one of our regular mail servers to connect with Exchange, rather, you are using our Web Forwarding server.  This may be the cause of your problem.  Unfortunately we do not support Exchange servers connecting to our mail servers, so we will be unable to assist you further at this time.  If you would like to send out emails using Network Solutions mail servers, we recommend you use Outlook or Webmail.  At this time your email products appear to be working normally
--------------------

However we are going to implement a solution where all users pull their emails from one exchange.

Regards,

ZAK
