Radeon 9250 and Vista

I have a new ATI Radeon 9250 video card that I have installed in my PC running Vista.  However the vidow card still shows a score of 1.    The card works and I can see everything fine and I have directx  9 or better installed.

What else can be the problem.

Thanks.

Is it PCI or AGP

Have you checked the settigs on the card ?

Did you run DXdiag ?

I hope this helps !

The card is PCI and the DXDiag show no problems with Direct x except that the sound driver is not digitaly signed.  I am including the message.

The file smwdm.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL).  You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

While you may have DX9 installed the 9250 is a DX8 card, so its not going to work well in Vista.
