Notification to CRS

In my listener.log file i found:
listener completed notification to CRS on stop

This is 10gr2 single instance with no clustering of any type running on Solaris 10

What is that message about?

In oracle 10g ,
OCSSD is part of RAC and Single Instance  ( this is onE of the CRS daemons).

Check :
ps -ef | grep ocssd check wheather the processes running ?

you can start and stop the process by ( Single Node )
AS root user,

# $ORACLE_HOME/bin/crsctl start crs

# $ORACLE_HOME/bin/crsctl stop crs

# pwd
/uemc/udata/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin
# ./crsctl start crs
Attempting to start CRS stack
Failure at scls_scr_create with code 1
Internal Error Information:
  Category: 1234
  Operation: scls_scr_create

Could that be a problem.  I'm trying to track the source occasionally the database will not close from the shutdown transactional command.

Could listener notice to CRS be casusing some kind of hang?

listner and db are based on crs, not the other way round. i will try and check up whether i can get some solution on this. but most probably you may have to approach oracle.
