Folders that I have added to my favorites will sometime disappear and need to be readded.  Is there a way to get them to stick?

Thanks

Greetings taborrg !

You're probably in the Folder List Navigation now. The Favorites Folders only show in the E-mail Navigation.

Best wishes, war1

We're in Mail.  The Favoriites folder is there, and some of the favorites are there, too.  But some of the favorites get deselected, don't show up and need to be re-added.

taborrg,

Check if you have a addin or program interfering or deselecting with Favorites folder. Turn them off one at a time to check.

No - but it's beginning to look like logging into Citrix is causing it.  It only happens after someone logs into Citrix, and then returns to the office.

Sometimes, the outlook.xml file gets corrupt.
You can find it at C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
close outlook
Delete the outlook.xml file (or make a backup copy of it) It will re-create it.
restart outlook.
reinstall your favorite.
close outlook and restart it to see if it stayed this time.
This has worked for me on several occasions.

One other thing to try.
Start Outlook with the /resetnavpane switch and try again;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /resetnavpane

Turns out it was caused by Citrix.  Logging into Citrix, then logging back in at the office caused the problem.  Thanks for all the good ideas.

Renaming the outlook.XML file and opening Outlook with /resetnavpane did not work but I resovled this by clicking View, Navigation Pane, and unchecking Favorite Folders.  Go back into the same View menu and reselect Favorite Folders.  Voila!
