We have a 2003 R2 server with exchange 2003 installed.

The issue i am having is with OMA.
Outlook Web Access Works flawlessly
When trying to browse to the oma page its displays the logon prompt which i enter the user name and the password into than it thinks a little and than displays a blank page with the following in the address bar,

http://domain.com.au/oma/(gdn0jtb5xpksejrjo0ahjy45)/oma.aspx

It also than logs a event in the event log under 1503 and lists the following as the issue.

"An unknown error occurred while processing the current request:
Message: Type 'OmaAdapters.OmaXhtmlMultiLineTextBoxAdapter,Microsoft.Exchange.OMA.UserInterface' used as adapter not found. (C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\OMA\Browse\web.config line 101)

I have searched thru just about all KB's and articles on EE and im pretty much at a loss. We were using FBA and SSL but have removed the certificate from the default website and followed the instructions in this article.
http://www.amset.info/exchange/mobile-85010014.asp

We also tried looking at this as a possible cause of the dramas as sharepoint administration is installed.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823265

I can verify that the default website is using .net 1.1

Any help is much appreciated im pulling out my hair rapidly.

Thanks

I have only seen this come up once before and it was fixed by reinstalling asp.net 1.1, plus its service pack. You need to download both from Microsoft.

Thanks simon

I have tried as suggested to remove and re-install .net 1.1 however when trying to install it from the packages from the MS website its saying that this component is already installed in your operating system and to use windows update to install updates?

This also applies to 1.1 and 1.1 sp1

I have removed .net 1.1 from windows components and re-installed aswell. Still the error persists, OWA works fine and OMA is still displaying a blank page.

Its integrated in to R2. I am sure that there is a higher service pack than 1 for asp.net 1.1 though.

I did end up resolving this issue with the help of this site

http://www.chicagotech.net/troubleshooting/activesync3.htm

Followed all the instructions and it worked for me in my case.
Hope it helps you.

Thanks, but that has nothing more than the basic setup info.  Everything works for me, RPC-HTTP, OWA, and ActiveSync.  But, OMA lets you log in but gets a blank white page.

And the server shows an event error:

An unknown error occurred while processing the current request:
Message: Type 'OmaAdapters.OmaXhtmlMultiLineTextBoxAdapter,Microsoft.Exchange.OMA.UserInterface' used as adapter not found. (C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\OMA\Browse\web.config line 101)
