Network monitoring software.

Im suspecting that one or more computers on my network, are infected with a virus and are sending out emails. Is there a good way to verify that? Like a network monitor program or something.
Thanks.

Windows has a build in program called network monitor, installed from add/remove programs, windows components, monitoring.

Takes a little getting use to, plenty of info at the MS site on reading the captures though.

I agree, MS network monitor (current version) is much better than it used to be. Download: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=18b1d59d-f4d8-4213-8d17-2f6dde7d7aac&displaylang=en

Ethereal is another popular one: http://www.ethereal.com/download.html

As posted above MS has released a new version (3.1) of it's network monitoring software, which has a easier to use interface.
