i had a similar experience with an hp system... however, the computer sometimes corrupted some files... and that was not good at all... as it was new when it happened, warranty took care of it... hp replaced my hard disk and/or cables... so there may lie your problem... it could be also your motherboard, but that's unlikely...

Thanks for the responses,
I've visually inspected and reconnected the drives and power.
Drivers are all up to date. As for the seatools..
it requires .net 2.0, which I can't install without installing sp2, which I'm really trying to avoid.
Still not sure what is causing this

Here's the latest..

I disconnected my cd and dvd drives (ide) and my maxtor ide drive as well, leaving only the 2 sata seagate drives connected.
I noticed that my event errors were always happening on boot, so time for process of elimination.
After disconnecting and reboot 10 times, there were zero errors.
It turns out, the maxtor ide drive is causing this.

Because drive works great and there are no reported errors so far, I'm thinking that since my system uses primarily SATA as its' means of connectivity, during boot, the system is booted before the IDE drivers are ready and loaded, causing these errors to occur.

Anyone?
What is the Boot Order in your BIOS? If the SATA is the primary, is it first in the Boot Order?
SATA is first in the the bios, actually all others are disabled.
i relly don't think that's the problem... as i said before, i think it's most probably the drive itself or the IDE cable... if the drive works with no problems on another computer, i'd bet for sure it's the cable... there's a minimal chance that the motherboard is faulty, though...
