How to Setup Exchange 2003 to Route Email Using a Dial Up Connection

Our internet connection went down and will not be back up until this weekend. We have a dialup connection we use as a backup. DNS has already been setup for it and I can ping the secondary MX as well as the IP. However we are not recieving email.

Is there anything that needs to be done to enable this? We can send out just fine.

I will be surprised if you can receive email on a dial up connection. That port is often blocked on those connections.
Ping means squat. You need to do a telnet test to that IP address from an external machine to see if it is making the connection.

telnet ip.add.re.ss 25

That will prove connectivity. If the connection is not being made then you need to look at firewalls and your internal configuration. You should also ask if port 25 inbound is open on the connection.
