Do front panel connectors typically face down?

ive seen them in all directions (top of case, pointing down) but most often they just point straigh out

I mean the lettering, on the connector, power led hdd led power switch reset switch ect, when you plug them into the straight pins should the lettering be facing towards the bottom of the case or lettering facing the top.

i think it depends on the MOBO but i think mostly up, your usb connectors should have a pin missing so they can only go in one way. plug them in and see which side the lettering is on for them.

Yes, that is the way it is, and I found that many manual instructions from motherboard vendors confused many customers. Shame on them!
