CryptoAPI Base64 encoding and decoding

Can someone give me an example of encoding a file into Base64 and then decoding it into another file using window CryptoAPI and Visual Basic 6

    Sorry Dhaest,

    No insult intended but your first example didn't even mention Base64 and the second was a try before you buy DLL, plenty of those out there.  Wheres the love?

    Some suggestion might have been helpful, like using OpenSSL as an alternative.
    Any further suggestions greatly appreciated.
