Bandwidth restrication for ftp users in IIS6.0
I have a windows server 2003 ftp server with 250 internet ftp users.Some users are reporting me for slow Bandwidth problem when they are uploading & downloading files.How to Enable Bandwidth Throttling for ftp site in iis6.0.So that every user will use constant bandwidth .

But i read a article at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308193. There is a option to Enable Bandwidth Throttling in IIS 5.0 But i am not sure this will be apply for ftp site or not while i am using IIS6.0 windows server 2003.There sholud be be option in IIS6.0
Bandwidth throttling limits the bandwidth that is used by static HTML files only.
You can set it at the server level or for each individual web site.
There is no way to throttle FTP in IIS6 and certainly not on a user basis.

No there isn't. IIS FTP has quite basic features.

Now i have also a firewall after ftp server. Any policy in firewall due to which i can restrict ftp user to restrict bandwith.Any feature of firewall.Firewall is Netgear FVS-124 G.

I guess you can play with QoS on the firewall but that will apply for the FTP protocol and not on a user basis.

QoS is not helpfull for me.Now at the last moment i want to know:-

If you want this feature, you will have to install an alternate FTP server.
