Create stand alone crystal report

Is it possible to create a stand alone exe file from a crystal report.  The report will ask a question the users puts in the information and then the report prints.  Dont want to have to install all the crystal stuff for just one report.

It is possible only by writing your own application (VB, .Net, Java, etc.).  Various development environments now come with Crystal embedded and with the more advanced versions of Crystal you get dll's that can be used by your application to display Crystal Reports.

It is not possible from just Crystal to create a standalone exe - this was possible in version 8.5 and earlier but that functionality has been deprecated.

There are also a variety of report viewers here that can substitute for a full Crystal installation for people that just need to view (not modify) reports.  In most cases there is a nominal charge for these products:  http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html

You will still need to install several Crystal files to support showing the reports.

Do the users require live data or can you run the report and provide a pdf version of the output?
