shortcut 'IBM Access Support.lnk'

This error message began just today. I was using the laptop all day yesterday, then shutdown and returned to working on my PC. Remembered I needed to do something else on the laptop, fired it up, and the error message is now popping up repeatedly, about every minute or so, and won't stop.

I'm not sure why it keeps calling that link, but it's not a link you need.

It should be in Start -> Programs -> Thinkpad -> IBM Access Support.lnk

I'd suggest just deleting the link.  Can't reference anything if it's not there.

That should either end the problem, or give you a new error message which will tell you what's trying to run that link.

I would also disable any startup programs via MSconfig that are associated with this.

You can also uninstall the service if required.

I hope this helps !

I found the shortcut under Start -> All Programs -> Access IBM. The icon appeared as the little 'generic' guy, i.e., the type that indicates a shortcut icon is broken. Problem error msg has gone away. Thanks!

If you have free space on particion D/ I think that will be smart from you to move any important filles on D/ and make format C/. The problem will be disable and its very important that you will not have problems for 2-3 years min.
I am talling you to format your operating system becouse its the best solution when starts problems like this

This is an answer? It is like M$ saying reboot and see if the problem goes away. I've had my ThinkPad for over three years and it just started this nonsense. Did IBM eliminate this site, and that is why it does not work? Is the problem temporary?
