Citrix connection limit from server side

Is there a way to force presentation server clients to connect with WAN settings as opposed to LAN settings?

short answer: Yes

need more info if you want details though.  How are your clients connecting to your server? Web Interface, Program Neighborhood, or Program Neighborhood Agent?

the clients will be connecting through either the web interface or the Program Neighborhood
ok then either way you would have to configure your citrix servers to have an alternate (external) IP address using the altaddr /set command.  Each citrix server will need it's OWN external IP address.

You will also need to open up the proper ports on your firewall to each of these addresses (Default ports are 1494, 80, 2598).

Once you do that:

For program neighborhood just use these new external IP rather than the internal ones to connect.

For Web Interface configure the "Alternate" connection as the default and specify the same addresses that you assigned to your servers.

If you haven't already I would strongly suggest reading the Admin Guides for both Presentation Server and Web Interface.  This info is very well documented in both guides:

Actually, I guess I misstated the question. When using a presentation server client, when defining a connection, the user has the option of WAN or LAN type connection.

Is there a way to force users into using only the WAN check box?
