Adobe Version Cue CS3 does not install.

At first, I thought only Adobe Encore CS3 had a start-up problem; but now, there are now 2 things wrong with Adobe CS3:
[1] Adobe Encore crashes after the Splash Screen; and,
[2] Adobe Version Cue CS3 does not install. I have attempted a reinstall of this component. To no success.

P.S. If this keeps up, I'm going to return it to the vendor I purchased this from and demand a full refund.

What system are you running them on (XP/Vista etc), and does the Event Viewer show anything for Encore's crash?

Also, what are your computer specs?

I am running XP Pro SP2 on a Pentium IV 3.0+ GH PC with 2GB Ram!
The issue with Encore seems to be something a great many people are experiencing, if you look at my recent Question History under "Adobe." But, the Version Cue CS3 not installing is something I do not understand. I suppose it's another bug with Adobe CS3.
In any "Event," if you'll pardon the pun (LOL) the viewer shows only a single entry relating to Version Cue CS3 and it indicates "configuration failed" (whatever that means!?). I have tried twice to install the Version Cue CS3 component: once during the initial install; and, again under "add a component" portion of the installation disk.

Thank You for your Help!

If everyone did this, you can be certain Adobe would fix the problem immediately.

Adobe never tested their installation with previous versions installed, and that is why it fails.  If you have older versions of Adobe products, like CS2 componentes, or even individual programs like Pagemaker, Photoshop 7, and even Acrobat, you will find the the CS3 installation FAILS TO OVERWRITE the existing DLLs of those earlier installations, and since CS3 relies on the new DLLs, it blows sky high.

Just a pathetic job of debugging a new product.  You basically have to remove EVERY ADOBE PRODUCT on the system, then install stupid CS3.  Sometimes, you even have to install it on a CLEAN computer to get the thing to work.

I would return it.  If only everyone had the guts to do this, Adobe would smarten up in a BIG hurry.

In closing: Adobe Arrogance and their products have become very expensive piles of cr-p!

P.S. I will probably have only one more question regarding Adobe; but, that comes later.
