Wireless Optical Mouse Problems

I have a microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse 4000 which just started to act strange.  It stops working when my laptop is at work on a docking station, (it stalls and then comes back again).  But it's perfectly fine at home.  Not sure if the docking station has anything to do with it or not.

I've changed the batteries and using it w/o the docking station isn't really an option - I need to lock it while at work. What Connect buttons?  Can we talk about it interfacing with something else?  I thought about that but don't know what else it could be.  I stopped putting my cell phone on my desk but other than that there's nothing else.  At home where it works fine, it's right next to my other laptop and I never get any interference.

Feeling very stupid..I had a regular mouse plugged into one of the usb drives as well.
Still possible solutions though.
