Virtual Server 2005 Error

When i tr to create a new Virtual Network i get the following error:

The virtual network could not be created. The virtual network configuration could not be created. A configuration with this name already exists.

i have checked C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Shared Virtual Networks and it is empty!

is there a way to remove them via a command prompt???

Please help!!

Did you try creating virtual machine to some other path? Like D:\MyVMs\
Just search your machine for all .vnc and .vmc files and see if the virtual machine or virtual network exists.
Good luck,
Walter

ASKER

it is just the virtual network that is causing problems.

I have done a search of all drives and exausted everything else.
Did you check under following path:
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Virtual Server\Virtual Machines"
Yep, checked there, believe me i have done thorough search of the server.
Here is an MS guide of all locations and file types of a VS 2005 configuration.
http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/e0319ee8-2c62-4fa8-9e52-573d2a5160d01033.mspx?mfr=true
perhaps some useful information for you there.
Good luck,
Walter
Did you use VMRC plus?
When you initial added or created the same machine name in there you should remove it from the VMRC plus console first.
Good luck,
Walter

Go to the following path and rename or delete the .lnk file with the same name as the server you are trying to create:

C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\microsoft\virtual server\Virtual Machines\<server name in conflict.lnk>
