S.M.A.R.T. reset on my HD

How can i reset S.M.A.R.T. log on my HD to try to repair it?

The first two post are correct, almost. The factory can restore these if the hardware isn't too worn. there is also another solution that is used by some to restore hard drives in a similar way that is done in the factory.
It requires special hardware and software like PC-3000 that allows you to read and write to the system area of the HDD. However, it is very expensive - around $10,000 - and is difficult to use, requiring  extensive knowledge of hard drive operation. For more information visit hddguru.com.

Not sure what you mean with reset, but for MAXTOR you can download Seatools from Seagte (maxtor has been bought):

You can't reset the S.M.A.R.T. log. You also wouldn't be able to repair the disk by resetting it.

I agree with rindi, SMART can't be reset. If you are getting a SMART alert backup the data immediately and replace the drive it's a hardware failure and not repairable.
