I wanted to get some help on understanding a little more about IP addressing, specifically I want to know what this means: / 23

Has this got something to do with subnetting?

    This notation (CIDR) uses the following format

    Where n is the number of (leftmost) '1' bits in the mask. For example
 / 23
    applies the network mask to the 10.210.230 network.
