Hello all !
I'm installing a Windows XP Home OS into an embedded PC to be used in a car. To do it, i'm using a CompactFlash with an IDE to compact flash converter. Everything goes well, i've even tested how to use EWF and minilogon, that's quite cool.
But my problem is with windows update center. It seems that windows detects my CompactFlash Hard Drive as a "removable" drive. Then i'm unable to access to window update center (i've a valid & official windows version). I've tried all the solutions given by microsoft knowledge base to avoid that problem, but it remains... So i think if i succeed to made windows "think/believe" that my CFHDD is not a removable one, it will work... I've search for a way to do it and i know that zip drives are able to do this but i didn't manage to find how to do it, maybe setting somme vars into registry ?

Please help !
