I am new to SQL Server. I am trying to write - for lack of a better description - an efficiency program. I will post my issues here as I come across them. First, I am trying to seperate data from one table into many tables. I have a table I have downloaded from another source that has the names of all the products and their efficiencies in a single giant table. There is a product column and each product has multiple rows based upon each function of the product.

So rows 1-25 might be ProductA, 26-32 ProductB, etc.

Can somebody help me with a query that would look for each unique product name, create a new table with that product name and then populate the table with all the data leaving out, of course, the product name column, which at that point would be redundant. Would it also be possible to put these new tables in a seperate database?

Thanks
