Firefox loads up a blank page for any url

I have unloaded and reloaded Firefox many times, yet each time it does not display the url page.  If I do a Page -> Source, I get this:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"><html><head><title></title></head><body></body></html>

I probably need to delete some other files to totally start with a clean install, but I'm not sure what those files would be.  Explorer works fine on the same PC.

Greetings robjay !

You need to delete Firefox profile to start the browser new.  Uninstall Firefox.  Then go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox and delete all the files there. Now install Firefox.

Best wishes, war1

Robjay, You MIGHT need top uninstall and reinstall Firefox, but more then likely, as war1 points out, you simply need a New Profile.
Follow the instructions here. It's really very simple.

Although, if this is because Firefox was just upgraded to version 2.0.0.6 from 2.0.0.5, more then likely it's just your Firewall blocking the newer version. So you'll want to take a look at this page.

I didn't believe it but it was indeed the McAfee firewall . . . I became convinced in reading the 12 ways a firewall can trick you .
robiav, glad the problem is solved.
robjay,

Thanks, and also glad it's working.  Some suites and firewalls can be tough to figure out.
