Workgroup - cant connect to shares on the "server"

Hi,

I have a workgroup of three  PCs (1 new) but unable to connect to shares on "server"
I have shared out the C drive and my docs.

They are all XP Pro.
Im lost for ideas - I have done this before but think someone has thrown a spanner into the main PC - it worked before.

All can ping each other - but I think its authentication related.

The no password might be the problem I think, no user on the server has one.
Anything else to check on the authentication front?  I kept getting user / password prompts when trying to map drives.

Wont be on site for a few days to check if this resolves it
Can't think of anything right...the above is a good start.  Let me know how it turns out when you give the users a password...then we will work from there.

Good Luck!!!

Those ones I cant open are a new account I created called "test" password is the same "test"
Im not prompted for a user / password password though.

I made sure all in the workgroup - were on the same "workrgoup" - the 1 PC
wasnt - renamed it and it worked.

Then user calls - Problem is back again.

Im looking for a NAS solution as this is a head wreck.
