I had a customer call me 3 days ago needing a high end wireless card for a computer that was going to be shipped to them and arrive tommorrow. I asked her if the PC was a laptop or desktop and she said "desktop". So I had a nice PCI card rush delivered and the customer called me again today.
The customer was told that the PC was completed with the exception of having sound. The "geeksquad" told the customer that they should tell me to be sure and purchase a pcmcia card if they wished to ever add sound which the customer just relayed to me today. I called the Geeks and apparently they sold her the Sony all-in-one piece of crap that is supposedly a desktop with laptop features when in reality it is just a laptop with no hinge to close the lid.
Before I ramble forever, my question is - Does anyone know of an inexpensive converter that would allow you to use a Desktop PCI card on a laptop (or at least this Sony "Alli in One" P.o.S.)
