asked on

Lotus Notes email losing text when forwarded to Outlook clients.

One of our users using MS Outlook 2000 sent an email to an external domain which uses Lotus Notes for email.  The recipient replied back to our user and the reply included the original email sent to the recipient plus his response.  Our user then forwarded the reply with a comment to five of our other users who all have MS Outlook 2003 clients.  Two of the five received the the email with the comment, response and original email and three received just the original text without the comment or response?

We can see the email on the server for one of the recipients that didn't receive it correctly and all the text is present.  One other thing; the users did receive the email correctly (with all text) on their Blackberrys.

Any idea what could be going on here?

You need to check MIME and conversion settings in outlook, compare working and non-working settings, also see if they are set up differently on Exchange ( if being used )

I hope this helps !

Could you be more specific about what we should look for when you say "check MIME and conversion settings in outlook"?  Should something be checked or unchecked? Thank You.
