Ipod sound issue

Got a new ipod and it has been working great until now, everything is still normal expect for the most important fact, i cant hear a thing, i dont know if the earphone port is bad or not but are there any ideas on this??  But everything besides that is normal.

Watch Question

Try attaching another earphones to it and see it the problem still occurs. If so, try doing a restore in the ipod (you can do it through iTunes)

Already tried those options...
Well.. then maybe your earphone port can be really messed up... I would give a try to the apple technical support

one more possibility (although i guess you'd know about it):  it could be that the volume is limited to zero: on the ipod, go to "Settings > Volume Limit" and check if the blue triangle is somewhere near or even at the very right.  if it's near the very left, turn up the volume and press the center button.
