Restore Backupexec 11d jobs
I have just returned form holiday to find both peopel who look after backups off sick and all the back up jobs missing. needless to say there is a lack of documentation.
I recall beutil being able to restore backupexec back to apoint in time
but that was a while ago, we ar enow on version 11d
there is beutility which looks diffrent and every option is greyed out.
the bedb.bak file is still there.
any ideas on how to get the jobs back?

hi thanks

if i had the documentation i would have gladly recreated over 200 jobs so a recovery option much prefered unfortunate set of circumstances and staff off sick

If you are saying the backup jobs are missing, it is probably easiest just to re create them.
If you are saying you need to know what was backed up to each tape, put the tape in , then, from Devices, click Inventory, let that run, then click Catalog.
If you are saying you want to install backup exec itself, after you do the above, if backup exec was backed up to the tapes, you can restore.
