CISCO 806 IOS problem

Hello experts, I have a CISCO 806 Router that is telling me the following:

loadprog: error - Invalid image for platform
e_machine = 100, cpu_type = 62
boot: cannot load "flash:"ú
System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(4r)XM3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
TAC Support: http://www.cisco.com/tac
Copyright (c) 2002 by cisco Systems, Inc.
C800/SOHO series (Board ID: 17-62) platform with 32768 Kbytes of main memory

I am not a CISCO premier partner and therefore cannot download the IOS from the site. Is there anywhere else I can get this file?

Unfortunately the Cisco IOS is a prorieatry for Cisco
So the only way is o be a partner or to buy it from Cisco,
but was wondering did you buy that Cisco Router from Cisco, if thats the case then it should come with a working IOS but if it is giving you the above error then maybe you should return it back and ask for a working one

its a router that we purchased several years ago. The 806 is actually and end of life product I think. It was working fine for the last 6 years, then after a power failure this happened.
hmm So it doesnt even work ??
It really seems a corrupt IOS image file hopefully not a flash problem
You didnt back it up anywhere ??
HI.  I did back it up.  But somehow I  have lost it.  Any suggestions ?  I am really stuck here?

ok, I managed to get a hold of an IOS filebut it is failing to install it saying the header information is damaged. However, I also recalled that the initial problem the router reported was that it had lost its Cookie information and I never did find the exact info so I think I need Cookie info for the 806.
cookie info !!! i never heard of that
tell me what exactly the router is giving you
what prompt are you on and how are you uploading it
Hi

if the cookie information is lost you have a bigger problem

the mac-address, serial number, service number etc are stored in the cookie so if the information is gone it´s really hard to repair you router (the only way would be to find out the old mac-address and etc and hard code it into the cookie info in HEX - Code)

cheers
hmm Sirius seems you know info about that cookie, i have been in the career for 3 years now and never heard of it could you tell me more about it ?
