I have some stations wich must run in country settings with  a comma instead off decimal point.
The my btrieve-recordmanager will return e.g.    1234.56   as   recordnamefield =   "1234,56"
then using in VB6  a# = val(recordnamefield)    will give a# = 1234  , not  a#= 1234.56
Ok, ik could do  a$ = recordnamefield   then a$ = recplace(a$, ",", ".")  then a# = val(a$), but when doing lots off calculations on
recordfields is clumsy, so would there be a nicer way to handle this
