How can I "monitor" or be alerted for when a cluster has failed over..
Our main file servers form part of an active / passive cluster, lets call them Node A & Node B for ease of explanation.
When Node A fails over to Node B their are a handful of shares that come back with the error below:
extract from cluster log file:
00000d58.00001480::2007/08 /14-10:07: 21.853 WARN File Share <Retail Workgroups>: SmbpCheckAndBringSubShares Online: NetShareAdd failed for subshare WG_ACQUISITIONS Error: 5.
I am fairly confident that this is a permission thing so have made a few changes.
My question is: How can I monitor or be alerted on if a node . i.e. when node A switches to node B or viceversa..
